My teaching method is on a one to one basis, carefully moulding the direction of the tutorial to the tutee's needs. I recognise that music is an unusual subject in that a large amount of an individual's skill can be down whether or not they are naturally gifted, however I also believe these skills can easily be taught which I do through written and aural examples. Communication is the most important part of my teaching, I have seen far higher rates of success from a more conversational approach to a tutorial. For each turotial I will prepare some exercises for the tutee and I will also bring some for the tutee to do between tutorials which I will then mark and bring to our tutorials to go through.
