I'm a charismatic tutor with 1.5 years teaching experience, working as a teaching assistant at a primary school and as a private maths tutor, raising academic standards for the tutee starting in the bottom set to scoring 93% in in-class maths tests. I cover Maths and Chemistry from primary school to A level standard.
Having studied at St Paul's Girls' School, UCL and worked in a commercial capacity as an analyst for two well-known tech firms, I am equipped to provide comprehensive advice surrounding UCAS, university life, career advice beyond university in addition to academic tutoring.
I think about why students become disengaged with their material at school, and at the heart of it is confidence. I try to build a healthy rapport with my tutees and make studying fun! Having said this, tutoring flourishes when it is a two-way street. Expecting the tutor to do all the work will not encourage independence, so homework will be given and a tutee will be expected to complete it in the time frame that I set.
