About Ruby
I am currently studying medicine and am going into my second year. I am friendly, approachable and calm which I believe is necessary to put each student at ease. I deeply enjoy academics and it is why I chose to study at 2 grammar schools. As a result of this, I learn not just for grades but because I have a genuine interest in the subjects. I have experience of tutoring GCSE students at my secondary school where I learnt that I enjoyed helping people to understand ideas and be able to apply them. This experience of teaching made me realise that I could do this as a part-time job as it was something that I enjoyed and kept my mind active. Online chemistry and biology tutor. I will spend the first free lesson getting an idea of the exam board, curriculum and problem areas. I aim to engage with the student first and foremost so I will tailor each lesson according to their feedback. I have learnt through my own time as a student that I respond best to flexible teaching and adapting it to how I learn so I carry that approach forward in how I teach my own students.
