About Jayne
I am an experienced Flute tutor with 18 years of teaching experience, working with school students, college learners, and working professionals. I have helped students of all levels develop confidence, technical skills, and a love for music.
My teaching philosophy is based on clear guidance, patience, and steady improvement. I believe that understanding the fundamentals is essential for learning flute successfully. I create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore music at their own pace.
In my flute lessons, students learn breathing techniques, posture alignment, tone clarity, finger coordination, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, and listening exercises to develop overall musicianship. Advanced learners receive performance-focused training.
One of my notable achievements is guiding students who have performed confidently in school concerts, college cultural events, and music assessments. Many students have shown consistent improvement and discipline through structured learning.
My goal is to help students enjoy learning flute while building strong technical skills and a lasting passion for music.

My teaching methodology is designed to make flute learning practical, enjoyable, and effective. I use real-life examples and case studies to connect lessons to real music experiences, helping students understand concepts clearly. I focus on understanding each student’s learning style, strengths, and progress, tailoring lessons to their individual needs.
Communication is central; I encourage students to ask questions, share ideas, and reflect on progress. Integrity guides my teaching—I provide honest feedback while motivating students to achieve consistent improvement.
Along with flute techniques, I also teach music theory, rhythm, improvisation, and performance strategies to provide a strong musical foundation. This approach nurtures technical skill, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong passion for music.
