About SUMI
Hello! I’m a trombone major from South Korea with a strong passion for music and teaching.
I have studied trombone extensively through formal music education, and trombone is my main instrument and area of expertise.
I enjoy helping students build a strong foundation in breathing, embouchure, tone, posture, articulation, intonation, technique, and musical expression. I believe that good fundamentals are important for becoming a confident and enjoyable player.
I am patient, friendly, and enjoy helping students improve step by step. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some experience, I will tailor lessons to your level and goals.
My goal is to help students develop good playing habits, improve their technique, and enjoy playing trombone.

I offer personalised lessons for beginners, students, and players who want to improve their musical skills.
I majored in trombone in South Korea, and trombone is my main instrument and area of expertise. I can help students develop a strong foundation in breathing, embouchure, tone, posture, articulation, rhythm, technique, and musical expression.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and goals. Whether you are learning for the first time, preparing for a school band, improving your technique, or simply wanting to enjoy playing music, I will help you learn step by step in a comfortable and supportive environment.
Trombone is my main focus, and I can also provide basic guidance for trumpet and euphonium players.
I am happy to teach students of different ages and experience levels, and lessons can be provided in Korean or English.
