About Sage
My teaching approach focuses on helping singers build both technical skill and expressive confidence. I emphasize healthy vocal technique, breath support, tone production, and control while nurturing each student’s unique musical voice. Every lesson encourages personal expression, helping singers connect emotionally to the songs they perform.
I work extensively with adult beginners and ensemble singers, guiding them to progress steadily while feeling supported and encouraged. Lessons include audition preparation, strategies for performing under pressure, and ways to build stage presence. I also focus on song interpretation, phrasing, and stylistic nuance to help every student communicate the story behind their music.
We explore repertoire choice, warm-ups, and exercises tailored to each singer’s goals, ensuring structured yet engaging lessons. I incorporate confidence-building techniques, performance strategies, and musical exercises that foster both technical ability and artistic freedom. My sessions are interactive, positive, and designed to inspire growth.

I’m a vocal coach with over 5 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus in Voice. I’m passionate about helping singers bring stories to life through song, particularly in Jazz Standards, Broadway solos, and Golden Age repertoire. Music is more than notes—it’s about emotion, character, and connection, and I love guiding students to discover their unique voice.
I specialize in swing phrasing, jazz ornamentation, character interpretation, and lead sheet reading. These skills allow singers to perform with authenticity, style, and musical nuance. I work with passionate adults, seasoned singers, and community theatre actors, tailoring each lesson to their goals and strengths. My approach combines solid technique with expressive artistry, helping students gain confidence and stage presence.
In lessons, we explore phrasing, tone, and emotional delivery, while also developing skills for performance readiness and musical storytelling. I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel inspired to take creative risks. Together, we work on refining repertoire, interpreting lyrics, and connecting deeply with the audience.
