As a tutor, my approach is student-centered, which means that I focus on understanding each student's individual needs and learning style to create a tailored approach that helps them achieve their goals. I believe that it's essential to establish a strong foundation in the subject matter before moving onto more complex concepts, which is why I start by assessing each student's current level of knowledge and working with them to fill in any gaps.
I then use a variety of techniques, such as visual aids, real-life examples, and interactive exercises, to help students grasp abstract concepts and make them more tangible and relevant.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical lesson plan begins with a review of the previous session's material to ensure that the student has retained the knowledge. I then introduce new concepts, breaking them down into smaller, more manageable parts, and offer plenty of examples to help illustrate the ideas. After we've gone over the material, I give the student an opportunity to practice what they've learned with interactive exercises and problem-solving activities, with plenty of guidance and support from me.
