About Sarah
Teaching flute has been my passion for the past 14 years, during which I have taught High School, College, and adult students, totalling around 150-200 learners. I believe music is a journey of self-expression, discipline, and creativity, and my goal is to make that journey exciting and rewarding for every student.
A milestone I treasure was helping a group of students prepare for a school concert. Seeing them perform together, support each other, and shine on stage was incredibly fulfilling. My teaching style is adaptable and student-focused, combining structured practice with interactive exercises that build skill and confidence.
I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to experiment, express themselves, and enjoy the learning process. Teaching flute allows me to share my passion while helping students discover their own musical voice.

I follow a student-focused methodology for teaching flute that combines practice, creativity, and understanding. I use real-life examples and case studies to explain musical concepts in ways that are practical and memorable. I emphasise motivation, inspiring students to explore music with confidence, curiosity, and joy.
Problem-solving is a central part of my teaching. I help students tackle challenges in technique, rhythm, and musical expression, promoting independent learning. Integrity is essential in my lessons, encouraging discipline, honesty, and respect for music. My approach is flexible, adjusting lessons to each student’s level, pace, and interests.
Besides flute, I can also teach music theory and fundamentals to create a strong foundation. This methodology ensures lessons are productive, enjoyable, and tailored to each student, fostering skill, creativity, and confidence.
