About Lariza Mae
Hi! I'm Lariza Mae C. Kempis, a graduate of Cavite State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies.
Throughout my degree, I developed a strong foundation in the English language and communication. My coursework included Grammar, English History, Intercultural Communication, Phonetics, Psycholinguistics, English Discourse, Syntax, and Stylistics, among other language-related subjects.
My academic journey also gave me extensive experience in research and communication. I completed more than six research projects, including my undergraduate thesis, conducted various literary and linguistic analyses, delivered oral presentations, and participated in demonstration teaching. These experiences strengthened my analytical thinking, research, writing, public speaking, and communication skills.
As a tutor, I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students improve their English but also to build their confidence and develop a deeper understanding of the language.

My teaching approach is student-centered because I believe students learn best when they actively participate and fully immerse themselves in the lesson. Rather than simply giving information, I encourage interaction, critical thinking, and meaningful discussions that help students understand concepts more deeply.
A typical lesson begins with identifying the student's current level of understanding and learning goals. I then explain the topic using clear and simple examples, followed by guided practice, interactive activities, and opportunities for questions. At the end of each lesson, we review the key points to ensure the concepts are fully understood.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I do more than teach—I guide my students throughout their learning journey. My goal is not just to help you memorize information but to help you truly understand what you are learning. I strive to create a supportive, patient, and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and learning at their own pace.
My lessons are suitable for students of different levels, from elementary and high school learners to college students who need assistance in English, reading, writing, grammar, literature, or communication skills. I also welcome learners who simply want to improve their English proficiency for academic, professional, or personal purposes.
