About Praise

I've lived and breathed tourism for 20 years. My passion for travel isn't just talk; it's my lifeblood. I've guided thousands through flawless itineraries in the industry, and I absolutely thrive on igniting that same fire in eager learners like you. I am ready to master travel planning under my wing.

About the lesson

Learners will:

Research destinations and build personalized trip goals.
Create and track a realistic budget.
Design flexible itineraries with bookings.
Handle documents, safety, and sustainable practices

. Weekly Breakdown
Week 1: Foundations – Goals & Destination Research (Focus: Inspiration to shortlist)

Topics (45 min): Travel types (solo, family, budget vs. luxury); SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, etc.); research tools (Google Flights, TripAdvisor, Numbeo for costs).
Activities (1.5 hrs): Group brainstorm—pick a theme (e.g., "beach getaway under $1,500"); hands-on search for 3 destinations; vote & justify top pick.
Homework (1 hr): Profile your dream trip (1-page: who, where, why, rough dates).
Week 2: Budgeting Mastery (Focus: Numbers that stick)

Topics (45 min): Cost breakdowns (transport 40%, lodging 30%, food/activities 20%, buffer 10%); apps (XE for currency, Expense Manager); hacks (off-peak, points).
Activities (1.5 hrs): Template workshop—build Excel/Google Sheet budget for Week 1 trip; peer review for "deal breakers."
Homework (1.5 hrs): Refine budget with real quotes (flights via Kayak, hotels via Booking.com).
Week 3: Itinerary & Booking Lab (Focus: Actionable schedule)

Topics (45 min): Day-by-day structure (mornings active, afternoons free); apps (TripIt for auto-sync, Rome2Rio for routes); booking tips (flexible dates, insurance add-ons).
Activities (1.5 hrs): Live booking simulation—compare options in real-time; create/share 7-day itinerary with buffers for delays.
Homework (1 hr): "Book" your trip (screenshots of reservations) + packing list draft.
Week 4: Polish, Safety & Sustainability + Showcase (Focus: Ready-to-go)

Topics (30 min): Documents (passport/visa checklists via iVisa); safety (apps like TripWhistle, health via CDC); eco-tips (carbon trackers, local eateries).
Activities (2 hrs): Role-plays (e.g., "flight delay crisis"); finalize dossiers; 5-min "pitch" presentations per group (Q&A from class).
Homework: None—celebrate with optional group share on a class forum!
4. Assessment
Formative: Weekly checklists (self/peer scored) + instructor feedback via shared docs.
Summative: Final Pitch (rubric: Budget realism 30%, Itinerary flow 25%, Prep completeness 20%, Sustainability/creativity 15%, Delivery 10%).
