About Chee Seng

I'm a highly experienced chess coach based in Brisbane, Australia. My students have won more than 100 chess competitions, which include:

With 28 years of chess playing experience, I also won my division with an undefeated performance at the 2024 Doeberl Cup (Australia's most prestigious international chess tournament).

About the lesson

I have a unique approach to helping my students improve their tactical vision. Instead of just relying on puzzles taken from books, I like to make use of my constantly expanding collection of key positions taken from my own games so that I can explain to my students exactly what I was thinking and how I found the right moves in those positions.

Being a full-time chess coach also enables me to provide additional support to my students between lessons. For example, all my students are welcome to contact me between lessons if they have any chess-related questions.

I offer a discounted rate of $110 for a 90-minute lesson.
