About Katherine
I am a Private Tutor who has been tutoring English and Polish as a foreign language for 3 years. I have given lessons one-to-one, and my students were mainly adults. My approach to teaching is professional and friendly. I am always looking at each student individually because I believe they have their own unique talent and skills. Also, the courses I did in teaching as well as child care proved to be useful in allowing my students to feel a sense of achievement after my sessions with me.

I am the kind of person that believes that every student deserves support and understanding, because they turn to you for help after all, and they depend on you. I am very determined to be there for my students and treat them with respect, whilst encouraging them to build self confidence and expand on what they'd learnt. Generally before the start of the lesson, I would have the student introduce themselves, and I like to asses their current knowledge to help me figure out their strengths and weaknesses. Based on my initial evaluation I look at the appropriate materials and adapt a method of teaching that would best suit a particular student. In each lesson I prepare a variety of tasks, exercises and assignments to allow them to practise and test their progress as they go along.
