About Riley
I am a TEFL-certified ESL teacher with over two years of experience teaching professionals and high school students in Colombia, as well as a graduate of California Polytechnic State University with a degree in Agricultural Business. In addition to ESL teaching, I have also worked as a ski instructor and as an after-school teacher during university, experiences that strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and keep lessons engaging and supportive. Teaching has always come naturally to me, regardless of the subject, and I genuinely enjoy helping students grow in confidence while improving their communication skills.

My approach as a tutor is centered around helping students use English naturally and confidently in real-world situations. I believe students learn best when lessons are personalized to their goals, interests, and learning style, so I adapt every class to the individual student rather than following a rigid one-size-fits-all structure.
I am TEFL-certified and graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a degree in Agricultural Business. I have experience teaching both professionals in Colombia and high school students, which has helped me develop flexible teaching methods for different ages, personalities, and learning goals. I enjoy creating lessons that are practical, engaging, and relaxed while still helping students make serious progress.
I also enjoy incorporating fun games and interactive activities into lessons that help students expand their vocabulary, express opinions, explain their reasoning, and think critically in English. These activities make lessons more engaging while helping students become more comfortable speaking naturally and spontaneously.
