About Victoria

Keeping my knowledge updated is salient to me. I keep it fresh by using Duolingo and listening to Spanish songs regularly. Learning various languages allows me to improve my linguistic skills; I am working on Portuguese and can read and understand some Korean. Any opportunity I have to learn a new language excites me and I hope to pass this on.

I’ve found enjoyment in learning Spanish since primary, and I’m confident in passing on the knowledge I gained from my Venezuelan teacher throughout secondary.

My objective is to teach and practice Spanish in ways that are exciting while using various resources. This includes intellectually stimulating exercises, role-play, kahoot, and blooket (to test knowledge). As well as this, I will use practical sources such as exam questions to reinforce content learned.

Students will explore common and complex words/phrases/tenses that can be used in day-to-day interactions, enhancing their confidence in being able to hold a conversation.

I consider my approach to be person centred as I will aim to understand my student’s strengths and weaknesses, so I can efficiently support them.

About the lesson

As a student who has completed GCSE’s, I attained grades 7-8 and a distinction. As a current A level student, I am working toward grade A’s and a distinction*. I will encourage enjoyable ways of learning a new language in conjunction with highly desirable key phrases.
