About Cathy
Hey! My name is Cathy, my Chinese name is Wan Hoi Ying and I was born in Hong Kong. Cantonese is my native language but I have been learning traditional Chinese (character) with Mandarin since I was a child. Teaching mainly intermediate learners! We will start with reviewing Chinese characters (traditional Chinese).
Weekly conversations in both Mandarin and Cantonese, with an addition of listening practices.
I will also be teaching you some of the cultural aspects of mandarin and cantonese for crucial context, and then we will be reading books that should be comprehensible at your level.
At the end of one cycle of learning, you should be able to read signs, ask for directions or help, and write about your life.
