About Chan
Hello everyone,
My name is Chan Eu Weng, and I am 29 years old. I am happily married and hold a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying. Today, I am excited to share with you my passion for teaching and my journey into the world of education.
Ever since I can remember, mathematics has been a subject close to my heart. Its logical and problem-solving nature has always fascinated me. However, I understand that not everyone feels the same way about this subject. Many students struggle with math and often lack the confidence to excel in it. This realization is what ultimately inspired me to become a teacher.
My primary reason for teaching is to help students discover their own potential and develop a genuine love for mathematics. I believe that every student has the ability to understand and enjoy this subject with the right guidance and approach. Through my own experiences and struggles in learning, I have come to understand the importance of patient and caring educators who can make a positive impact on their students' lives.
My goal as a teacher is not just to impart knowledge but also to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment. I want to be the teacher who not only explains mathematical concepts but also instills confidence in my students. By adopting easy-to-remember techniques and focusing on understanding the principles behind mathematical formulas, I aim to make math less intimidating and more accessible to all.

This approach empowers students to apply their knowledge in various scenarios and problem-solving situations.
During lessons, I adopt a structured yet flexible teaching methodology. I begin by assessing the student's current level of understanding and identifying areas that require improvement. Based on this assessment, I tailor my lessons to suit the specific needs of each student, ensuring that they receive personalized attention.
A typical lesson with me usually lasts between 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes. I find this duration to be optimal for maintaining student engagement and focus, without overwhelming them.
As for my qualifications and experience, I have three years of tutoring experience. Over this period, I have worked with students from Form 1 to Form 3 levels. This experience has given me valuable insights into the challenges that students at this age group face and has honed my ability to cater my teaching style to suit their learning preferences.
