About Devendra

I have been teaching for the last 6 years and my specialty is Maths. Being a graduate from IIT, Maths comes easy to me and with experience from a company involved in education research, I understand the problems of students in learning the concepts. I have ensured that the fear of Maths is removed from many students and some of my students who hated maths have gone on to score > 90% in final Board examinations.

About the lesson

I have taken up teaching Maths post my retirement as Assistant Vice President in an MNC. Maths is my passion and I adopt methods which make the concepts easy for my students. I relate the concepts to daily life. I have been with Byju's as Professor of Maths and have taught class X ICSE. The highlight was that many students who hated maths started liking it and some even went on to score > 90% in Board exams. I was also associated with an education research company and have a deep knowledge of how children learn and what their difficulties/misconceptions are, and my teaching takes these aspects into account and helps the children. Presently, I am associated with M/s Vedantu as an online tutor for Maths - class XI and class XII. I have completed more than 180 hours of teaching with a score of 5 out of 5. The effectiveness of my teaching can be seen in the feedback received from students. I use animations/charts and real-life examples to drive home the concept. My focus is mainly on making the concept clearly understood. My students have enjoyed the experience of learning in a fun way!!
