I taught French in small groups and recently I did private lessons to help people to improve and learn French. Focus mainly on conversation, I teach in innovative ways (fun and nice vibes).

• Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

  I do speak French fluently because I am French from Paris. I lived in England, went to Africa and now I am currently living in Miami but I lived most of my life in Paris.

• Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

  I would say, Coluche. He was a French stage comedian and cinema actor. He was famous because he was one of the first major comedians to use profanities as a source of humor on French tv. He is one of the proofs that in France you have a huge liberty to express yourself and different subjects to laugh at.

• Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

  I particularly like the fact that foreigners made me aware that French people like to repeat the same word, for example, saying "merci, merci" or "bonjour, bonjour". We also like to say "Olala.." all the time. I think it's giving a cute and more amicable way to talk.

• Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  For me French matters to me if for example, you want to work in art. In this field, this language is really appreciated. Also if you want to work and live in France of course but also in Africa is really important as well.

• What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

  I think the main difficulty in learning French is that they're a lot of exceptions to grammar rules. It can be frustrating if you know your grammar but don't know the exception to the rules. I would recommend being curious by doing some research and not being scared to ask French natives.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

  My days at school for French classes were that I was talking way too fast and I remember my teachers used to say to me I am not breathing when I am speaking. In French, you have to know that we are supposed to slow down for example we do respect the commas.

• How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

  Traveling in France helped me a lot to improve. In every area, there are different cultures, accents, and food. Traveling across the country is one of the best ways to learn French by discovering all that and meeting people.

• What makes you a Superprof in language?

  I am a Superprof in French because I think first of all, I am really an easygoing person, smiling and enthusiastic. It brings good vibes and more precisely it encourages my students to be confident and don't be scared to try. We all know falling is part of the process. The main work I am doing with my students is to communicate to bring fun and relevant conversations because I think it's what matter the most.
