About Elizabeth
I am an operatic soprano and a voice teacher. My students have sung with opera and musical theater companies, have received accolades in competitions, have been accepted into college theater programs, and have pursued music careers. After 15 years singing and teaching in the San Francisco Bay Area, I recently returned to my roots in the Philadelphia Main Line.
In the Bay Area, I have sung with San Francisco Opera Guild, Opera Cultura, Pocket Opera, and Phénix Opera, among others. I became well known for frequent appearances with Opera Cultura in La Llorona as the sly seductress Carmela (2012, 2014, 2019) and more recently as Ana, the spirit woman (2024). I also appeared with Opera Cultura as Calavera (Frida), Margarita (Zorro), and Chiquita (Coyotes and Rabbits). I debuted with San Francisco Opera Guild in the role of Mimi (La Bohème). I have sung with Phénix Opera as Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Suor Genovieffa (Suor Angelica), Giulia (La Scala di Seta), First Witch (Dido and Aeneas), Ernestina (L’Occasione Fa il Ladro), and Monica (The Medium). Since settling down in the Philadelphia area, I debuted with Opera Philadelphia Chorus in their “Pipe Up!” concert series at the historic Wanamaker Building and have performed in concert events with Opera on Tap and Liberty City Arts.
I hold a Master of Music degree from Duquesne University and a Bachelor of Music degree from Gettysburg College.

Your voice lessons are a personalized experience, tailored to your learning style and personality. I carefully select exercises and repertoire to address your goals.
Do you feel tension in your singing? I teach the Swedish-Italian method of classical singing, which emphasizes body awareness. I will identify areas of muscle tension and teach you an expanding ribcage technique for optimum breathing efficiency. When your singing feels effortless, it also sounds beautiful!
My specialty is opera and classical music. However, I teach musical theater and pop singers, too. My primary focus is the advanced classical student. Beginners and children are also welcome.
