About Nick

I'm a warm and approachable acting coach with over 13 years experience in stage and screen. I have an Advanced Diploma in Stage and Screen Performance from The Australian Performing Arts Conservatory.

I've also trained with respected teachers such as Anthony Wong, Kim Farrant, Les Chantery and Annie Swann in various techniques including Chubbuck, Chekhov, Uta Hagen and Larry Moss. As an actor, I performed in many theater productions in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide. I've also worked on many short films and had guest appearances on shows like Home and Away and Doctor Doctor.

I've also worked behind the camera and directed some short films, so I have an understanding from both sides of the lens. As a teacher, I have over 20 years experience as an English language teacher. I've worked with people from all over the world, so I'm very approachable and can help you feel confident if English is not your first language.

The world of acting, film, theater and story is my passion. I love to help people find their creative spark and confidence through storytelling.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on you and your goals, at your pace. I have an encouraging, motivating approach that combines a variety of techniques but also a freedom to play, explore and discover.

We work on monologues, scene study, speeches and other acting exercises. We'll also explore voice work if that's what you need. I can help you discover the power in your own unique voice to give you charisma and confidence.

I'll gently push you to find what's missing in your work but also bring out your strengths.

Whether you're a total beginner or professional, I'll adapt to your level and needs.

My lessons are fun, dynamic and collaborative.

I can teach you online or in my bright, sunny creative space in my home in Double Bay, Sydney. Or a place that suits us both in Sydney central.
