About Alia
I bring over 16 years of competitive swimming experience, providing a strong technical foundation in stroke mechanics, skill development, and water safety. In addition, I have three years of professional lifeguarding experience, where I was responsible for maintaining a safe aquatic environment, responding effectively to emergencies, enforcing facility policies, and supporting overall pool operations. These roles have reinforced my commitment to safety, professionalism, and high instructional standards.
I also have extensive experience teaching and supervising children of varying ages and ability levels. I am skilled in planning structured, age-appropriate swim lessons, adapting instruction to meet individual needs, and maintaining organized, engaging classes that promote both learning and confidence in the water. I work collaboratively with staff, manage schedules responsibly, and ensure clear communication with participants and families.
I am CPR and First Aid certified through the American Red Cross and am committed to ongoing training and professional development. I take pride in creating a safe, positive, and effective learning environment and am enthusiastic about contributing to a high-quality swim instruction program.

I have been a competitive swimmer for approximately 16 years, providing me with a strong foundation in stroke technique, skill progression, and water safety. I also worked as a lifeguard for three years, which strengthened my ability to maintain a safe learning environment, respond to emergencies, and manage the pool deck professionally.
I have extensive experience teaching and supervising children of various ages and skill levels, including planning age-appropriate lessons, adapting instruction to individual needs, and keeping classes organized and engaging. I am CPR and First Aid certified through the American Red Cross and am committed to continued training and professional growth as a swim instructor.
