About Tamar
I am Tamar and I study French and linguistics at The University of Edinburgh. I believe that learning languages can facilitate amazing opportunities for young people and teaching French allows me to share my knowledge in a way that students are able to get to grips with. I understand the importance of developing a language to a communicative level and my time living in France with a French host family has provided me with an understanding of how French is used in the real world as well as in the classroom.

I am offering French tutoring up to GCSE level. It is really important to me that I am able to cater to the individual needs of the student, so my lessons will vary depending on what needs to be focused on. I achieved an A* at A level French and My university studies have provided me with an intricate knowledge of linguistics which will allow me to teach French in a way that is engaging and understandable, whether this be focusing on speaking practice or developing translation and writing skills. I have experience teaching in an informal setting as I have previously helped out with GCSE French speaking practice. This allowed me to gain crucial experience in the classroom and understand the kind of teaching methods that work for students.
