About Keerthana
I believe that mastering mathematics is about developing the logical resilience to solve complex problems, a principle I carry from my background in computer science and engineering. Having participated in various industry-level challenges, I bring a high-level, analytical perspective to every lesson, ensuring that students see the 'why' behind the numbers.
My approach to tutoring is rooted in both academic rigour and community service. Having served as a Maths and English tutor at an NGO for children aged 7 and above, I have developed a patient, adaptive teaching style that meets students at their individual levels. I understand that every child learns differently, and I take pride in transforming complex concepts into manageable, engaging steps.
Whether we are strengthening foundational arithmetic or diving into advanced problem-solving, my goal is to create a professional yet encouraging environment. I am dedicated to helping students build the confidence they need to excel academically and the critical thinking skills they will use for a lifetime.

My Approach: Logic over Rote Learning
My teaching methodology is built on the "Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract" approach. We don't just memorise formulae; we visualise them.
Techniques: I use interactive problem-solving, real-world applications, and "reverse-teaching" (where the student explains the concept back to me) to ensure deep conceptual mastery.
Goal-Orientated: Every session is tailored to bridge specific learning gaps while building the stamina for advanced logical reasoning.
What a Lesson Looks Like
Duration: Typically 60 minutes. This allows for a 10-minute concept review, 40 minutes of intensive practice/new material, and a 10-minute "wrap-up" to solidify the day’s learning.
Format: One-on-one or small group sessions available (online).

Level: Students in Grade 3 through Middle/High School.
Focus Areas: From mastering fractions and decimals to tackling pre-algebra and statistics.
