About Maia
Hi! I'm Maia and I am a student at Cardiff University. I study Psychology with a professional placement, which I am really enjoying. I am particularly interested in developmental and social psychology. Alongside this, I enjoy music, reading and dance. In tutoring I hope to pass on my enthusiasm for Psychology and English Literature, and help manage stress over workload during exams. I would consider myself a warm friendly person, and I am able to teach either English Literature or Psychology up to an A level standard.

My tutor lessons are a fun and welcoming environment without judgement. I am able to cover content at an A level standard for Psychology AQA and English Literature OCR. I am flexible with timings and locations of lessons. I have partaken in TEFL training, am DBS checked from my previous work in a primary school and have been trained as a Mental Health first aider. I also work as a teaching assistant in schools and preschools across Cardiff.
I tutor with past paper work and active recall, using what works best for my student to learn. I am very comfortable with the content of these exam boards and will ensure our sessions are fun and productive!
