About Andrea
Hi! I’m Andrea, a bilingual English-Spanish educator with a background in elementary and Special Education.
I began my teaching career in the United States, where I worked as a bilingual elementary teacher, Special Education Resource Teacher and Kindergarten teacher. Throughout my career, I became especially passionate about helping children who struggle with reading and dyslexia, which led me to pursue specialized training in structured literacy and dyslexia intervention.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and am currently completing advanced training through the Take Flight dyslexia intervention program.
I believe children learn best when they feel confident, supported and understood. My goal is to create a warm, encouraging environment where students can build their skills without feeling embarrassed or discouraged by the things they find difficult.
I love helping children experience that moment when reading finally begins to “click”!

I specialize in individualized, structured literacy lessons for children with dyslexia, reading difficulties, or those who need extra support with phonics, spelling and literacy.
My approach is explicit, systematic and multisensory, targeting skills such as phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, spelling, fluency and comprehension while keeping lessons engaging and age-appropriate.
I am a qualified elementary educator with experience in Kindergarten, bilingual education and Special Education in the U.S., including working with students with dyslexia and language-based learning differences. I am also currently completing advanced dyslexia intervention training through the Take Flight program.
As a bilingual English-Spanish educator, I can support literacy development in both languages and understand the needs of multilingual learners.
Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes and are best suited for primary/elementary-aged children. My goal is to build the underlying skills your child needs to become a stronger, more independent and confident reader.
