About Sophie
Music has always inspired me, and teaching flute for the past 12 years has given me the opportunity to inspire others. I teach students from school to college and believe that every learner can succeed with proper guidance and dedication.
My lessons focus on building a strong foundation through breathing control, posture, finger techniques, rhythm practice, scales, and tone development. As students improve, I help them develop musical expression and confidence on stage.
One of the happiest moments in my teaching career is seeing students perform proudly in front of family, teachers, and audiences. Besides flute, I also teach music theory, ear training, sight reading, music appreciation, and performance techniques.
My aim is to help students become confident musicians while enjoying every lesson.

My teaching philosophy is to help students enjoy music while building strong flute-playing skills. I follow a teaching approach based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity, ensuring every lesson is positive and meaningful.
Students begin by mastering breathing, posture, finger placement, note reading, rhythm, and tone production. As they improve, they develop scales, articulation, dynamics, improvisation, musical interpretation, and performance confidence.
I motivate students by celebrating progress and encouraging consistent practice. Communication is friendly and open, making it easy for students to ask questions and understand new concepts. Integrity helps create a respectful learning environment where students feel valued and supported.
Creative learning includes familiar melodies, classical music, rhythm games, listening sessions, improvisation, and duet practice. Along with flute, I also teach recorder, music theory, beginner keyboard, sight reading, ear training, and performance coaching.
