About Afshan
It’s important to have a calm, positive, and understanding attitude to have a good relationship with your student. Once the student feels comfortable and is able to develop trust in their tutor, they perform and progress well. If a student is having a difficult day and doesn’t want to do the regular lesson, then it’s important to communicate and find out the reason why he’s feeling that way. There are games and other activities which can be more enjoyable for the student.

I include concepts of Phonological Awareness work, Syllable Division, Reading and Spelling strategies, Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Narrative and Essay Writing. Spelling Patterns and their rules, Sight Words. These lessons are structured, cumulative and are reinforced regularly for student absorption, retention and retrieval. Once the diagnostic assessments are done, lessons are tailor made to work on specific needs of students. Students are regularly assessed to monitor progress.
