About Asha
Hola! My name is Asha, I'm originally from the North West of England but I spent many years living and working in Spain, mainly in Seville and Granada, southern region of Spain!
I love languages, different cultures and art (I am a singer too), which played a big role in my Spanish learning and pronunciation (perhaps it could be a part of your learning, if you enjoy music!)
I would describe myself as a calm and warm person. I take pride in making sure each in class, you feel relaxed, confident, and like you have enjoyed your time!

As a former student of Spanish for 15 years, I have a great understanding of what it means to learn this beautiful language as a foreign language.
Learning Spanish took me to work all over Spain for many years, so I believe having a focus on culture can help us learn and retain information better because we are having fun in real life context (which unfortunately lacks in traditional school classes) !
Over the 7 years of officially teaching languages since obtaining my TEFL qualification, I have taught in Spain and England. I found myself teaching Spanish to the other non-native teachers and some of my Spanish students that needed help with their Spanish language and literature homework!
I have experience teaching people of all ages from 4 years old to 75 years young of all abilities and backgrounds. My students have taught me and inspired a person-centred approach, I will always take learning styles, personal goals etc into consideration, so I can create a lesson tailored to each student.
Depending on the student, classes usually last 30 minutes to an hour. Classes can range from complete beginners up to preparing for A Levels.
