About Patricia

I believe that I can be a good tutor, as I used to be in the past. First, starting tutoring Spanish for beginners to elementary students back home in Mexico, ages from 7 to 11 years old. Although, I never got a degree in teaching, I believe I have the qualifications to help the students to get ahead with Spanish and to achieve their goals. I have a very kind, friendly, outgoing personality, and have the patience and the time that my students need. My approach in tutoring will be online, via Skype, but in some cases, I can tutor students at my home as well, depending on the situation they are in. For the first lesson, I would be happy to tutor at no cost for around 45 minutes, to get to know each other better, and decide if the student wants to keep having the lessons with me or not. My fees will be for an hour and a half twice per week: $25.00 Canadian Dls per lesson, or 2 hours per week for $30.00 Canadian Dls per lesson.

About the lesson

Bilingual: Spanish-English School in Mexico City from Elementary till College. Pick up French as well at the Alliance Française du Mexique. Opportunity to study in Europe the career of Hotel Management and Tourism. Austria and Switzerland, being there I learned some German and Italian as well. Stayed there for 3 years. I have always been fascinated with languages. When I came to Toronto over 20 years ago, started working in Hotels, and then. I decided to go into the Travel and Tourist Field. Where I had the opportunity of traveling many places in the world. Being a people's person, and had the facility of being Trilingual, my customers approached me, and asked me if I could tutor their children in Spanish or French. I answered I would be happy to help with Spanish being my native language. Students felt really comfortable and happy because my lessons were one to one at an individual level, where they could understand and learn better, than in school with so many students at the same time. I also managed group lessons up to 5 students. If I get students from school, it will be with their own material and books, but at the same time, lessons will be mostly conversation, sometimes interactive, grammar and vocabulary, following the program from school, but make it more fun.
