Super tutor

Vicky is one of the best tutors in Spanish. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Vicky

I'm passionate about languages and culture! Having lived in many cities in Latin America, as well as in the US and in the UK, I've gained a lot of cultural awareness and appreciation towards language varieties. About my academic background: I have a BA in Modern Languages, a BA in Marketing, a Masters in Linguistics for Language Teaching (UK) and a Masters in Higher Education and Research. I'm a certified/sworn English-Spanish translator and interpreter. I also teach Phonetics and Linguistics at university level, therefore I can help my students to improve their pronunciation skills with technical knowledge. I've worked at international schools in London and Cambridge. I have tutored Spanish for the past 14 years for all levels. I enjoy teaching and would be more than happy to help you get top marks and/or speak Spanish on your next holidays. I hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS check.

About the lesson

I keep a dynamic learning environment where you can gain language skills at your own pace. I use interactive online materials, videos, e-books, and audio-visual aids. Fun speaking games and vocabulary quizzes have proved to be successful and engaging. You will have access to my virtual classroom to practice Spanish daily with fun resources in your own time. I'm a dedicated teacher who will apply the right methodology for you to have the best learning experience. My lessons cover the use of languages in real-life contexts (great for those who go on holidays to Spain or Latin America!), written comprehension and lots of speaking practice. For GCSE and A-levels Spanish (AQA, Edexcel, IGCSE) we focus on grammar, past papers, speaking, reading and listening activities. I mark the written assignments so we can discuss how to improve them. All of the students I have worked with over the years have got top marks! I also tutor for the Scottish Highers and Oxford's Modern Languages Admissions Tests (MLAT). I tutor all levels - young and mature, graduate and postgraduate and people who are retired and are looking for an exciting new hobby. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, I'm happy to design bespoke lessons for you!

Perfect! We are incredibly grateful to Vicky for stepping in at such short notice to support our son with his Spanish. From the very first session, she brought not only a deep knowledge of the subject but also a calm, encouraging approach that immediately put him at ease. Her lessons are engaging, focused, and tailored to his needs, and it’s been amazing to see how much progress he’s made in such a short time.

Her dedication, flexibility, and genuine care have made a real difference—not just in his confidence with Spanish, but in his overall attitude towards learning. We feel very lucky to have found such a supportive and skilled tutor, and we can’t recommend her highly enough.

Vicky has been an amazing Spanish teacher for our 14-year-old son. She’s super dedicated and really knows how to connect with her students. Our son enjoys the lessons and has made great progress, not just in speaking and writing, but also in his overall confidence with the language.

She uses lots of helpful materials like visual aids, past papers, and real-world examples, which keep the lessons interesting and relevant. There’s always a good mix of activities, and the homework she gives is thoughtful and really helps reinforce what they’ve covered.

What we really appreciate is how supportive and encouraging Vicky is. She’s always available to answer questions, gives great feedback, and clearly cares about her students doing well. Her passion for teaching really comes through in every session.

We’re very happy with the experience and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great Spanish tutor!

Vicky taught my daughter Spanish during her final GCSE year and she significantly improved and began to enjoy speaking Spanish. Vicky clearly prepared beyond the lesson times and was very flexible to fit the times my daughter could make. Most lessons were online but some were in person. I highly recommend Vicky.

Victoria is an amazing tutor, she always explains things thoroughly and provides extra recourses to aid me, expanding on subjects so that I understand better and learn more than initially requesting. Her attitude to spanish is full of passion and makes me want to learn and ask more questions (which she always awnsers with enthusiasm). Along with her deep knowledege in the subject, her kindness is never ending. She always has a genuine smile, is flexible with her time and is ready to help me. I always learn a lot in her lessons and just talking to her as a person is really enjoyable!!

Vicky has been teaching me Spanish for almost a year and she is incredibly patient, knowledgeable and experienced - and as a beginner it has been both engaging and fun learning from her!

Her expertise also goes far beyond the level I am working at as she teaches many university level classes, so if you are a learner of any level, I would recommend Vicky as your Tutor!
