About Julie
¡Hola! My name is Julie, and I am a native Spanish speaker from Mexico. I hold a PhD in Biology and work at the University of Waterloo, where I combine my love for science and teaching with my passion for languages and culture. Growing up surrounded by the richness of the natural beauty, culture and traditions from Latin America, I developed a deep appreciation for the Spanish language—not only as a way to communicate, but as a bridge to connect people and ideas. Over the years, I have taught both science and language, helping students build skills with patience, clarity, and encouragement. I welcome you to my virtual class to experience the sounds and the feeling of a new journey through the warmth of a Spanish environment.
