*I focus on clarity, repetition, and application:* - I break complex concepts into simple, manageable steps. - I use active recall and spaced repetition to help with retention. - I integrate real-life examples, analogies, and practice problems to solidify understanding. - I regularly check for understanding, using questions and short reviews before advancing. *A standard 60-minute session might look like this:* 5 min – Check-in: Quick review of the student’s goals and last session. 15 min – Concept Overview: Teach the topic with clear explanations and examples. 25 min – Guided Practice: Work through problems together, offering hints and strategy guidance. 10 min – Independent Practice: Student solves problems while I observe and give feedback. 5 min – Wrap-up: Summary of key takeaways and preview of the next topic. Homework or optional follow-up resources may be provided depending on the student’s needs. *What Sets Me Apart* Empathy & Encouragement: I understand that learning can be frustrating, especially in subjects like math, writing, or a foreign language.
