About Claudiu

I'm a software engineer with over 20 years of experience in the consulting industry, where I've spent my career building enterprise-level applications for clients across various industries. My core expertise spans C# and TypeScript for application development, Python for scripting and AI/data work, SQL and database design, and cloud platforms including Azure and AWS. I also work regularly with AI tools and techniques, keeping my skill set aligned with where the industry is heading.

Alongside this hands-on work, I mentor and train young graduates as they transition from academic learning to professional software development — something I find just as rewarding as the engineering itself.

What draws me to teaching is watching that moment when a concept "clicks" — when someone goes from copying code to actually understanding why it works. I bring that same mentoring approach to every lesson: patient, practical, and grounded in real industry experience rather than just theory.

About the lesson

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe in teaching real-world skills, not just theory. Software engineering is best learned by building — so every concept we cover is reinforced with a hands-on mini-project, the same way you'd pick up a skill on the job. This approach comes from years of mentoring young graduates in the consulting industry, where I've seen firsthand what actually helps people go from "knowing the syntax" to being able to build something that works.

A Typical Lesson

-Concept walkthrough (15–20 min): I introduce the topic clearly and connect it to something practical — how it's actually used in production code, not just textbook examples
-Guided practice (20–30 min): We work through a small exercise or mini-project together, applying the concept as we go
-Independent challenge: You try a related problem on your own while I'm there to guide, not just correct
-Wrap-up & next steps: We review what worked, address gaps, and set a clear focus for next time

Unlike many tutors, I'm not teaching from a textbook — I'm teaching from experience. With 20+ years as a software engineer in the consulting industry, I train new graduates as part of my actual job and build enterprise-level applications for real clients.
