About Agnes
With 7 years of tutoring experience, I specialise in teaching French to high school and college students and have guided 150–200 learners towards academic success. My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding, consistency, and encouragement. I believe learning a new language should not be stressful, so I create a calm and friendly learning environment.
I explain French concepts in simple English and break lessons into small, easy steps. My lessons cover grammar, vocabulary, sentence formation, pronunciation, and communication skills, with plenty of practice to support understanding. I customise lessons based on the student’s syllabus, goals, and learning style.
I help students prepare for exams, improve writing and speaking skills, and gain confidence in class. One of my key achievements is helping students improve their grades and overcome fear of French. Many students now enjoy learning the language and perform better academically.

My approach to teaching French is centred on communication, confidence, and consistency. I use real-life situations and practical case studies from travel, academics, and professional settings to make lessons useful and easy to understand. I maintain flexibility in lesson planning and adjust content according to the student’s learning speed and goals.
Collaboration is encouraged through interactive dialogues, speaking tasks, and listening activities. I teach with compassion and understanding, helping students overcome hesitation and build confidence.
Along with French language learning, I also teach grammar, vocabulary building, pronunciation and phonetics, reading comprehension, writing skills, conversational French, cultural awareness, and exam-focused preparation.
