About Cressida
I would love to teach primarily due to my love of English as a subject. In teaching English, I feel that my own understanding of the matter would be deepened and expanded, helping me to implement these factors into my own continued learning. Having loved English Literature and Language from primary school right up until my final years at sixth form (as well as the hope to study it at degree level), English is something I am truly passionate about (my favourite aspects including writing poetry, reading existentialist fiction and looking at modern politically-based plays), and would love to bring to others looking to improve and learn.

As a student myself, I take pride in bringing my passion for English to others. My lessons would entail pupil-specific learning, catered to their specific needs and preferences (i.e. if a particular topic needs to be covered and or if an entrance exam is being prepped for). While my lessons entail focused and structured work, I also hope to implement an environment that allows and encourages mistakes to be made (and thus corrected), where questions may be asked and any concerns may be raised openly. I hope to not only make English an understandable and academically digestible subject for my pupils, but to encourage their passion and enjoyment within the subject.
