I am a singing instructor with 16 years of experience and hold an Advanced Diploma in Singing. My teaching blends a structured approach with creative exploration, ensuring every lesson is both productive and inspiring. I work with students across all skill levels, from beginners discovering their voice to advanced performers refining their artistry. Lessons incorporate multiple vocal styles, allowing students to develop versatility and adaptability. I emphasize strong foundational skills including breath control, pitch accuracy, and vocal health. Ear training, music theory, and improvisation are integral parts of my sessions, helping students build confidence and musical intuition. I provide individualized guidance tailored to each student’s strengths, goals, and learning pace. My teaching approach for *The Fiddler* and *The Music Major* focuses on building confidence, developing precise pitch, and cultivating expressive vocal performance. I begin each session with tailored warm-ups that strengthen vocal control and support healthy breath management. Breathing exercises are integrated to help students sustain notes, improve phrasing, and reduce performance anxiety. Pitch accuracy is honed through scales, interval training, and targeted ear exercises. We use ear training apps and recording devices to provide immediate feedback and track progress over time. Metronomes assist in developing timing, rhythm, and consistency, especially for complex passages. I adapt techniques to each student’s learning style, whether they thrive on structured exercises or creative improvisation. Vocal health routines, including proper hydration and gentle stretching, ensure sustainable growth and protect the voice. Students are encouraged to explore emotional expression through dynamics, articulation, and stylistic nuances. Regular performance practice builds stage confidence and reinforces learned skills. I provide constructive feedback in a supportive environment, celebrating improvements and setting achievable goals.
