About Donna
I am a Senior Lecturer in Psychology with extensive (20+ years) experience teaching research methods and statistics within university programmes. I support large cohorts of undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as supervising dissertation projects from proposal through to final submission.
My work focuses on developing clear analytical thinking, accurate statistical application and strong academic writing. I regularly support students working with SPSS and Jamovi, guiding them through analysis, interpretation and structured write-up. I understand the standards expected in university assessment and aim to help students meet those standards with confidence and independence.
Students describe my approach as calm, structured and reassuring, particularly when working through complex analysis or dissertation planning.

I teach university-level research methods and statistics in a clear, structured and practical way. My focus is on helping you understand the reasoning behind each step, rather than simply applying formulae. Sessions are tailored to your specific assignment, dataset or dissertation stage, so we work directly on what you need to achieve.
A typical session involves clarifying your research question, selecting or reviewing the appropriate analysis, working through SPSS or Jamovi output step-by-step, and identifying exactly how to present your findings clearly and accurately. I summarise key points at the end so you leave with a clear plan for next steps.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes, though 90-minute sessions can be helpful for dissertation or more complex analysis work.
I work with undergraduate and postgraduate students in psychology and related social sciences. I have extensive experience teaching research methods and supervising dissertations within university programmes, so I understand both the technical demands and what markers are looking for in high-quality work.
I do not complete work for students. My role is to support you in developing independent understanding and confidence.
