About Ariyana
I am a senior at Case Western Reserve University on the pre-med track, originally from Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout my time in college, I have developed a strong foundation in the sciences while also discovering a passion for teaching and mentorship. I have accumulated extensive tutoring experience both as an organic chemistry teaching assistant and as a peer tutor, working closely with students to help them navigate challenging material.

My tutoring lessons are designed for both high school and college students who are looking to strengthen their academic performance and build a deeper, more lasting understanding of complex concepts. Rather than simply reviewing material, each session focuses on breaking down challenging topics into clear, manageable components while connecting them to broader themes to enhance comprehension.
In addition to thorough explanations, my lessons emphasize active learning strategies. Students engage in active recall, practice questions, and guided problem-solving to reinforce their understanding in real time. I also incorporate evidence-based memorization techniques, such as spaced repetition and concept mapping, to help students retain information more effectively over the long term.
My goal is not only to help students succeed in their current coursework, but also to equip them with the study skills and critical thinking strategies they need to become more confident, independent learners.
