About Lucy

Languages are so much more than academic subjects to me—they are the key to exploring the world, connecting with people, and understanding different cultures. My own love for Spanish was built through travel, living and tutoring abroad, and a lifelong passion for language learning.

Having spent over 10 years in secondary education holding QTS, a BA in Spanish, a Master’s in Language Teaching, and active AQA examiner status, I know first-hand how transformative learning a language can be. I teach because I genuinely love helping learners unlock that same spark.

Whether I am guiding a student towards a top GCSE grade or helping an adult prepare for their next adventure in a Spanish-speaking country, my goal is to make every session inspiring, encouraging, and highly rewarding.

About the lesson

Every student learns differently, which is why every lesson I deliver is fully tailored to your personal goals and learning style. Whether you want to focus on exam technique, speaking confidence, writing skills, or targeted grammar practice, we will structure our time around what you need most.

To ensure high engagement and steady progress, I use a rich library of interactive materials—including bespoke PowerPoints, printable booklets, custom TES resources, and my own digital vocabulary sets created for each topic on platforms like Educandy, Quizlet, and learning apps.

For GCSE students, we focus heavily on exam board criteria, mark schemes, and past paper practice using my active AQA examiner experience.

For adult learners and travel enthusiasts, we keep things practical, relaxed, and conversation-driven—focusing on real-world scenarios, holiday Spanish, and natural communication.
