Qualifications:
I have over 5 years of tutoring experience with students in Grades 5-11.
I am entering my third year of the Bachelor of Education - Elementary program at the University of Alberta in September 2026.
I earned Academic Honors every year from Grade 8-12.
I completed 3 Mentorship Programs, including a certificate for reading and math tutoring. Through these programs, I have been able to meet with younger students and facilitate their learning of both math and reading.
I have my Level 1 Early Childhood Education Certificate.

I enjoy teaching others am pursuing education as my future career. I am committed to finding solutions for each student and tailoring lessons to their needs!

About the lesson

I use encouragement, positivity, and various methods of explanation (including games) to teach students. I am willing to tailor lessons to their needs and provide resources such as practice questions.

I currently tutor math in:
- Elementary: (grades K-6)
- Jr high: (grades 7-9)

The lesson outline varies based on the student's learning style and needs. I like to start by connecting with the student for a few minutes. Then, we work on what is relevant to them - whatever areas they are struggling with and may be tested on soon. From there, I expand on my initial lesson plan and create worksheets and games to explain the material in various ways, to see what works!
