About Jocelyn
Hello! I'm a 28-year-old Singaporean (can teach in both English and Mandarin!) currently residing in London, after recently concluding my Masters in Music! Prior to this, I was working in education: most notably, I was a subject coordinator for Music in an international primary school, as well as a Ministry of Education teacher for Music and English Literature in a secondary school in Singapore. I currently teach most of my private music students online, through Zoom; though, face-to-face lessons are also okay with me! Most of my lessons are conducted with lots of smiles and laughter, so bring along your sense of curiosity and humour (:

Over the past few years, I have taught students of differing backgrounds, ages, and music goals. Some of these include:
- Primary school student, aged 8, aiming to obtain ABRSM G5 Theory certification
- Secondary school student, aged 15, working towards GCE 'O' Level Music exams
- Adult learner, preparing for music university entrance examinations
-Retiree, learning theory casually to support interest in music performance
I specialise in teaching the ABRSM Theory syllabus, as well as secondary/college-level musicology/ethnomusicology studies.
