About Maria

I am a passionate and experienced saxophone tutor with 8 years of professional teaching experience. During this time, I have successfully trained around 300 students from high school, college, and adult age groups. Teaching music is not just my job, it is my passion. I believe that learning saxophone helps students grow not only in music but also in confidence, focus, and discipline. My teaching philosophy is based on strong basics, clear guidance, and steady improvement. I begin every student with proper breathing technique, posture, embouchure, finger control, rhythm, and tone quality. These fundamentals help students build a strong and confident sound. Once the foundation is strong, I move step by step into scale practice, exercises, songs, and performance training. I always plan my lessons based on the student’s learning speed and personal goals. Some students learn for school programmes and exams, some for stage performances, and others simply for enjoyment. Along with saxophone training, I also teach basic music theory, sight reading, ear training, and simple improvisation so students can understand music deeply and play with confidence. Many of my students have performed successfully in school and college cultural events. Some have also scored high marks in practical music exams. I maintain a friendly and encouraging classroom where students feel motivated and comfortable to learn. My main goal is to help every student enjoy their musical journey and become a confident saxophone player.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for saxophone is guided by Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I believe that learning music should be enjoyable, disciplined, and meaningful. I begin by understanding each student’s skill level, learning pace, and personal goals so that every lesson is planned in the best way for them. Motivation plays a major role in my classes. I encourage students through positive feedback, simple practice targets, and regular performance opportunities. This helps students stay focused and confident. Through clear and friendly communication, I explain breathing control, embouchure, finger technique, tone quality, scales, rhythm, articulation, and musical expression in an easy step-by-step manner. Integrity is the foundation of my teaching. I maintain honesty, respect, discipline, and strong learning values in every class. I guide students patiently and give honest feedback to help them improve correctly. I focus strongly on building a solid technical and musical base. Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, duet playing, learning songs from different styles such as jazz, pop, and classical, and using backing tracks. Along with saxophone training, I also teach music theory, ear training, sight-reading, rhythm development, basic piano support, and stage performance skills. I also guide students on effective home practice and exam preparation. My goal is to develop confident, disciplined, and creative saxophone players who truly enjoy music.
