About Alice
I am a postgrad theology student, possessing a 2:1 in Theology and Religious Studies from the University of Leeds. I have over 2 years of teaching experience, as well as further informal tutoring experience from a non-academic background. My specialities are:
The Abrahamic religions
New religious movements and the sociology of religion
Social media and Religion in the 21st century

I base my teaching on a tutee-needs basis, preferring to start with a consultation of what you are hoping to get from the sessions and going from there. I am malleable in the teaching styles I can provide, again relying on communication from the student on what they find the most useful. This can range from basic university lecturing- style classes all the way through to student orienated learning (where the student does all the learning and I simply monitor or provide feedback on work).
I can work on a range of topics from KS1 through to degree level including:
Basic religious studies knowledge
Essay writing and methods
GCSE exam memorisation techniques
Increasing lower grade answers to higher grade answers with more in depth detailed information than provided by main stream schools
I have access to, and frequently utilise, a wide range of academic journals, worksheets and essay templates from my previous teaching positions
I like to keep lessons fun and promote a healthy work- life balance. I believe in the essentiality of maintaining wellbeing and mental health to a high standard in order to achieve the greatest results from academia.
