About Muhammad Hamza

I'm Muhammad Hamza, a Robotics and AI Engineer with a BSc in Electrical Engineering and an MSc in Robotics with AI from London Metropolitan University. My MSc dissertation involved building an autonomous robot manipulation system combining computer vision, reinforcement learning, and AI planning: achieving 99.3% task success across nearly 1,000 simulation trials and outperforming three published research baselines.

Throughout my degrees, I consistently helped classmates break down topics they were stuck on, whether it was circuit analysis, control systems, or getting their heads around machine learning concepts for the first time. I found I genuinely enjoyed that process: taking something that feels overwhelming and making it click.

I teach Maths, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Vision, and AI at A-Level and university level. My approach is straightforward: no padding, no jargon for the sake of it. I focus on building real understanding from first principles, which means you'll be able to tackle exam questions and coursework problems you haven't seen before, not just repeat memorised steps.

About the lesson

Every student I work with gets a different first session: because the problem is never the same twice. Before anything else, I want to understand exactly where you're stuck, what your course or exam demands, and how you currently think about the subject. That diagnosis shapes everything that follows.

A typical session runs like this: we start by identifying the specific gap not just "I don't understand vectors" but precisely where the understanding breaks down. Then I rebuild that concept from first principles, using real examples drawn from engineering and robotics where possible, because abstract theory sticks far better when you can see what it's actually doing in a real system. We then work through problems together, not me solving while you watch, but you working with me guiding until the method becomes yours. Sessions finish with a short plan of what to consolidate before we meet again.

For university students, I can go beyond textbook material. If you're working on a final year project involving control systems, autonomous systems, computer vision, or AI, I can provide genuine technical guidance not just help you understand a lecture slide, but help you think like an engineer.

For A-Level students, the focus is precision and confidence. Maths and Physics at A-Level reward students who understand the underlying logic, not just the formula. I'll make sure you have both.

I work online via video call with a shared screen, which means sessions are flexible, recordable, and location-independent or if you are based in London, I can come to see you in-person as well.
