About Caramea
Hello! I am a Grade 12 IB Diploma student and a Principal's Honor Roll student with a strong passion for music. I've played piano for 10 years and have really enjoyed developing both my practical playing skills and my understanding of music theory.
I know that learning piano can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you're trying to balance learning new pieces, practicing, reading music, and understanding the theory behind what you're playing. I enjoy helping students break things down into smaller, manageable steps while making lessons encouraging and enjoyable.
My teaching style is patient and adaptable, since I believe everyone learns differently. Whether a student is completely new to piano, wants to become more confident with their playing, needs help understanding music theory, or is working toward an RCM goal, I'll tailor lessons to their needs and experience.
As an IB student, I also understand the importance of developing good study and practice habits. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and taking their time when learning something new. My goal is to help students not only improve their musical skills, but also become more confident and independent learners.

I offer online Piano and Music Theory lessons for beginner and intermediate students, including students working below RCM Harmony Level 10.
Piano lessons can include learning and preparing repertoire, reading music, rhythm, technique, scales, practice strategies, and developing a stronger understanding of the music being played.
Music theory lessons can cover concepts such as notation, intervals, scales, chords, harmony, and other areas depending on the student's level and goals.
For students working toward RCM exams or other assessments, I can also provide support with preparation, theory, and developing effective practice habits.
Lessons are held online through Google Meet or Zoom.
I aim to make lessons relaxed and supportive while still helping students build a strong musical foundation and become more confident in their playing.
