Chemistry is often viewed as a complex and abstract subject full of difficult equations. My core approach is to break down these abstract concepts into simple, relatable, real-world examples. I do not encourage cramming; instead, I focus on building a strong conceptual foundation so that students can think like scientists. My structured teaching methodology includes starting with a diagnostic test to find weak areas, followed by active recall micro-drills at the start of every class. I use visual, everyday examples to explain chemical reactions and deeply drill students on WAEC alternative-to-practical setups. Finally, we solve topical JAMB and WAEC past questions immediately after completing any topic to master the examiner's tricks, build confidence, and drastically improve problem-solving speed.
Typical Lesson Length & Structure
My standard home and evening lesson sessions run for exactly 2 hours per class to ensure deep coverage without mental fatigue. We usually meet 2 or 3 times a week, depending entirely on the parent's preference and the student's exam timeline. A typical 2-hour breakdown begins with 10 minutes of quick review quizzes and assignment checks. This is followed by 60 minutes of intensive core interactive concept teaching and step-by-step breakdown of chemical formulas. Next, we spend 40 minutes on a live problem-solving session where the student tackles real past exam questions while I guide them. The final 10 minutes are dedicated to a quick recap, student Q&A, and assignment distribution.

I am a highly passionate science educator with a deep, specialized expertise in the field of Chemistry. Over my years of teaching, I have successfully coached numerous senior secondary school students within Anambra State, helping them move from struggling grades to securing excellent As and Bs in WAEC and scoring 75+ in JAMB Chemistry. I am thoroughly familiar with the Nigerian national curriculum, current educational standards, and the specific testing patterns of local examination boards.
