About Willa
With over 10 years of experience as a Piano tutor, I have taught students from beginners to advanced levels across school, college, and professional backgrounds. I strive to make piano learning structured, enjoyable, and personalised to each student’s needs, helping them develop both skill and confidence.
My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity, patience, and steady progress. I emphasise fundamentals such as hand posture, finger technique, rhythm, sight reading, and music theory while encouraging creativity and musical expression. Lessons are explained in simple English and reinforced through practical exercises, familiar songs, and demonstrations to make learning effective and enjoyable.
I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning pace, goals, and age. For children, lessons are interactive and engaging, while for adults and professionals, sessions are structured, goal-oriented, and flexible to suit busy schedules. Over the years, many students have performed confidently, passed music exams, and developed a lifelong passion for piano. Helping students grow musically and achieve their goals is the most fulfilling part of my teaching journey.

My teaching methodology emphasises compassion, supportiveness, and effective communication. I structure lessons in clear, step-by-step modules, provide demonstrations, and encourage hands-on practice and active participation. Positive reinforcement and constructive feedback guide students through challenges while celebrating achievements.
I also teach other relevant subjects using the same adaptable and student-focused approach. My goal is to help students build confidence, develop skill, and cultivate a lifelong love for learning and music, making every lesson productive, enjoyable, and inspiring.
