About Theodore Hui Yee
Theodore Ong has a deep love for music and many years of experience playing the violin. He has performed as a violinist with the Geelong Symphony Orchestra and served as Concert Master of the Geelong Grammar Symphony Orchestra from 2016 to 2018 where he led the Orchestra on their first international tour to France and Belgium. During his school years, he was also honoured to receive a Violin Music Scholarship.
Teaching violin and music theory is something Theodore values greatly. He enjoys guiding students aged four to fifteen through the AMEB syllabus, focusing on building both skill and confidence in a supportive and encouraging environment. He also offers support for students preparing for music scholarship auditions, drawing on his own experience as a scholarship recipient.
Alongside music, Theodore works in management consulting, where he continues to develop his skills in problem-solving and working with people.
He is available for lessons after 6pm on weekdays and at any time on weekends.

Theodore aims to create lessons that are both structured and encouraging, helping students enjoy the process of learning while building strong foundations in violin and music theory. He teaches using the AMEB syllabus and adapts each lesson to suit the student’s pace, goals, and confidence level.
Lessons are open to beginners and developing players aged four to fifteen, with a focus on developing technique, musicality, and a genuine enjoyment of music.
