About Melis

I’m a First-Class Honours Psychology graduate from McGill University (Canada) and hold a Distinction MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences from UCL. With academic and practical experience across research, mental health services, and teaching settings, I understand what’s required to succeed in psychology and how to support students at every stage. Whether you're tackling core concepts, preparing for assessments, or working on your dissertation, I offer thoughtful, structured guidance tailored to your needs. My approach combines academic rigour with empathy and encouragement, helping you feel more confident and capable in your work.

About the lesson

I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, whether it’s essay planning, understanding psychological theory, or preparing for exams. I also offer specialised dissertation support—from refining your research question to editing your final draft. Lessons are typically 60 minutes and open to undergraduate, A-Level, and MSc students. I use a structured yet flexible approach, combining practical examples, mind-mapping, and critical feedback to boost confidence and academic performance.

Amber

Melis tutored me on psychology during my undergraduate degree last year. She demonstrated a deep understanding of many theories and models I had been struggling to grasp for my assignment, explaining complex concepts with clarity and patience. The discussions were engaging and thought-provoking, encouraging me to think critically -this ultimately helped boost some of my grades above what I thought I was capable of achieving. I highly recommend Melis.
