Grammar Translation Method (GTM) This method is the oldest method in foreign language learning. The method emphasizes more grammar or grammar. Apart from grammar, there are also translations used to teach vocabulary. The teacher will teach material about grammar using formulas, then use translation when teaching reading, writing, and vocabulary in English. Audio Lingual Method Audio Lingual Method is one method that is believed to be effective in making students learn English quickly. Students are taught a language like they were in infancy. However, this method becomes a powerful method when applied to English learning. A teacher uses rods as a medium to teach many things, especially about speaking and grammar in English. Rods come in different colors and lengths. This method generally has a concept similar to the audio lingual method. The interesting thing about this method is that students are also invited to build a sense or inner criteria which enables them to detect and improve themselves if there are errors in using English. This Total Physical Response Meode is carried out by the teacher doing some work, for example walking, sitting, placing books, holding objects, or writing. But before the teacher carries out these jobs, he orders himself first with instructions in a foreign language.
